Sapphire is the Metropolitan Police specialist rape and sexual assault unit. The police get a bad press about the way in which they sometimes treat rape victims but Sapphire officers are specifically trained to support women and men victims and have extensive links with non-police organizations that can assist beyond the legal system.Woman's Trust works extensively with women who have experienced sexual violence and we welcome Sapphire officers to our Woman's Day event.
